Just For Today

Just for today I will let God’s love and light shine through me, healing me as it flows through my body and out of my eyes to others.

Just for today I will allow God’s love to take over my being.

When I am tempted to criticize others, I will find something to compliment.

When I am tempted to judge others, I will look at them with compassion.

Just for today when I am frustrated with the people around me, I will endeavor to put myself in their place and see situations through their eyes.

Just for today I will find out what I can do for others rather than asking what they can do for me.

Just for today I will ask God to guide my actions in all I do and say, and I will allow God to do so.

Just for today I will be thankful for what I have rather than focusing on what I do not have.

I will look around me and see the beauty that exists.

Just for today I will be gentle with myself.

Just for today I will let my ego be silent so that God can tell me who I am.

Just for today I will live in the moment.

I will let go of worries about the future or fretting about the past.

Just for today I will listen to the truths of others without discounting them.

I will hear with my heart what is said and what remains unsaid.

Just for today I will accept my connectedness with others, opening my heart to theirs as we were meant to be.

Just for today I will rest when I need rest.

I will treat my body with respect and love.

Just for today I will be embodied by God’s love and light.

May the God of love add a blessing to these humble words.

AMEN
